About Cheongnamdae

Cheongnamdae, the Presidents' Summer Residence

Set on the shores of Lake Daecheong in Cheongju, Chungbuk, Cheongnamdae served as the summer residence of South Korea's presidents from 1983 to 2003. Opened to the public in 2003, it is now beloved as one of the finest scenic spots on Lake Daecheong, with a presidential main hall, memorial halls, and beautifully kept gardens. Our tour covers the essential route — from a Korean course lunch, to the presidential main hall and memorial halls, up to the observatory reached by monorail.
